08 March 2018

With Mothering Sunday, just around the corner, what have you got planned to spoil your mum? North Wales and Cheshire is home to a whole host of different activities for you to plan a day out with your mum, letting her know how special she is this Mother’s Day.

Whether you want a day full of relaxation and recuperation or an activity packed day, full of fun and excitement for you and your mum to enjoy, North Wales and Cheshire really does have it all.

If you’re looking to treat your mum to an evening of fine dining and cocktails, North Wales has an exceptional variety of restaurant and bistros. From Michelin star restaurants to boutique eateries, there’s something which caters to all needs and tastes (literally). From the Michelin star, Sosban and the Old Butchers in Menai Bridge on Anglesey, serving dishes packed full of local produce, Bryn Williams at Porth Eirias in Colwyn Bay, a stone's throw away from a stunning welsh beach fronted by celebrity chef, Bryn Williams to The Corn Mill in Llangollen, a country pub housed within an old mill offering stunning view and pub classics.

If you want to treat your mum to something a bit more relaxing, North Wales and Cheshire is home to a whole host of spa’s, sure to give your mum a few moments of peace and tranquility. Take your pick between Deganwy’s Quay Spa, where an afternoon of treatments can be followed by afternoon tea on the patio looking toward the magnificent views of Conwy Castle, or further down the coast you’ll find The KinSpa at The Kinmel Hotel in Abergele, offering a variety of calming and tranquil treatments, overlooking the stunning North Wales countryside.

Fancy taking your mum to do something a little more adventurous? Well there’s no better place to do so than North Wales, the home of adventure. Why not book your mum her very own surfing lesson at the world's first inland surf lagoon, Surf Snowdonia, meaning you’re guaranteed to get a perfect wave each time. Whether she’s a complete newbie or has done it before, there’s trained members of staff on hand to help you through your lessons. If surfing isn't your mum’s thing, Surf Snowdonia is home to a Crash and Splash Water Assault Course, providing a bit of friendly competition between you and your mum.

If your mum isn't the adventurous type, there’s plenty of other classes she’d love to try. Why not try a cookery class at Bodnant Welsh Food, just off the A55 near Conwy, you get hands on experience from top Welsh chefs. Whether you take a pasta perfection class, want to learn all the secrets of patisserie or treat your mum to a vegetarian cooking class, there really is something for everyone.

There’s plenty of ways to show your mum she’s special this Mother’s Day, but maybe the best way would be bringing her down to our Lloyds Caravan & Lodge Sales showground in Towyn to view the wonderful range of holiday homes we have available. Whether your mum is new to holiday home ownership or looking to upgrade her static caravan holiday home, we have knowledgeable staff on hand ready to answer any questions she may have and get her one step closer to her dream holiday home.
